Girl Guides Australia is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). It’s our mission to enable girls and young women to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members.
The St Lucia Guide District is in south-west Brisbane and encompasses the suburbs of St Lucia, Toowong, Taringa and Indooroopilly. St Lucia District is part of the John Oxley Guide Region which covers a large area, from The Gap down to Moggill and everywhere in between.
In St Lucia, we have groups for girls aged 5-7 (the St Lucia Gumnut Guide unit), 7-10 (the St Lucia Brownie Guide unit) and 10-14 (the St Lucia Girl Guide unit). All units meet weekly during school terms at the St Lucia Guide Hut, 31 Guilfoyle Street, St Lucia QLD.
We are always happy for new girls to join our units! Please get in touch if you would like to visit us 🙂 Contact us now!
Although we do not currently have units for girls over 14, there are some that meet very close by. Please get in touch if you would like to know more about these units, or if you think you might like to become a Unit Leader or Assistant Leader to help us open a new unit in St Lucia.
